WHO WE ARE

American Corner Radom, officially opened on the 22nd of May 2012, serves as a regional resource center for information and programs highlighting American culture, history, current events, and government. Our main goal is to share the story of the United States and help individuals expand their general knowledge and skills, and understand American society, culture and values.

American Corner also aims to maintain an open dialogue on issues of mutual interest and understanding between Poland and the United States.
The agreement on the establishment of the American Corner was signed at the US Embassy in Warsaw as a result of a letter of intent signed in June 2011 by the Mayor of Radom and the US Ambassador to Poland.
The institution operates at the Radom Creative Environments Club and Gallery "ŁAŹNIA". In cooperation with the American Embassy, American Corner Radom conducts cultural and educational activities about the United States of America.

American Corner Radom

American Corner Radom is a cultural and educational centre under the patronage of the Embassy of the United States of America in Warsaw. It operates within the structures of the Radom Creative Communities Club and “ŁAŹNIA” Gallery. It provides the local community with free access to up-to-date information about the USA through a wide range of programmes and makes available numerous library resources, educational materials and internet databases. In cooperation with the US Embassy in Warsaw, AmC Radom organizes numerous events: lectures, debates, conferences, trainings, meetings with authors, cultural events with the participation of, among others, American specialists. The wide range of topics covered by the institution includes such areas as: economics, politics, history, ecology, security, entrepreneurship, etc. AmC Radom is a non-profit institution directing its activities to various age and professional groups with a wide range of interests.
